Nunns Mazda shares Christmas spirit with local hospice

Grimsby-based Nunns Mazda has donated more than £200 and an all-new Mazda CX-5 ‘sleigh’-full of Christmas Gifts to St. Andrew’s Hospice, a local care centre providing support to people with life-limiting conditions. In the true spirit of Christmas, the dealership on Altyre Way raised the money and gift donations by holding a Christmas Gift Appeal and taking part in Christmas Jumper Day.

The dealership turned its showroom into a festive wonderland over the Christmas period to help collect presents and raise donations for the hospice. Grimsby residents and Nunns Mazda customers were invited to the showroom to donate gifts at the drop-off point, an all-new Mazda CX-5 ‘sleigh’. The dealership received many generous gifts, including sensory games and toys that will greatly benefit children at the hospice.

Nunns Mazda staff also took part in Christmas Jumper Day, each making donations to wear their finest festive knitwear for the day. Staff at the Altyre Way dealership raised £100, which the business subsequently doubled. The dealership also invited customers visiting the showroom to join efforts to raise money for St. Andrew’s Hospice.

Jeremy Griffiths, Dealer Principal at Nunns Mazda, said, “I’m proud of the staff for getting into the festive spirit this Christmas to raise money for St. Andrew’s Hospice. Our Service Advisor, Martin Hames, even went the extra mile and made his very own Nunns Mazda Christmas jumper, complete with Santa socks! We’re also very grateful to those customers and members of the public who visited our drop-off point throughout December and generously made their own charitable donations. We hope the money and gifts help the hospice to continue its incredible work.”

St Andrew's Hospice provides a comprehensive range of care for adults and children with life threatening and limiting illness. Care is available in a range of settings, from overnight stays and respite to out-patient visits. The staff also provide support for family carers and pride themselves on being a ‘home from home’. Everyday normal activities such as bringing pets and ordering takeaways are encouraged at the hospice.
