Here’s What You Need to Know About Mazda’s New 6-Year Warranty

Mazda has just announced that it will be expanding its already-generous warranty period up to six years, giving drivers an even more comprehensive level of cover. But what else does this new warranty include? Let’s take a look. 

When is The New Warranty Coming into Place?

Good news - Mazda’s new six-year manufacturer warranty launched on September 1st, so you can already take advantage of it with any new Mazda registered from that date onwards. You can check out the current Mazda range at Nunns of Grimsby to see which car could work for you. 

What’s the Mileage Limit?

There’s even more good news - the mileage limit for all Mazda cars registered after September 1st 2025, increases from the previous 60,000-mile limit to 100,000 miles. That surpasses the limit offered by the vast majority of manufacturers in the UK, giving Mazda drivers even more peace of mind that their car is covered should the worst happen. 

Jeremy Thomson, Mazda UK, Managing Director, said: “It’s great that we can now offer our customers in the UK a six-year warranty. If you consider that just 21 per cent of cars registered in the UK year-to-date have longer than a three-year warranty, this is a fantastic reflection of our commitment to the quality, reliability and engineering of our cars.

“I’m delighted that our dealers can now sell our new cars with one of the best warranties in the industry, and in the years ahead our excellent approved used scheme will benefit with customers able to buy previously owned cars with added confidence of a full manufacturer warranty”.  

Is There Any Roadside Assistance Included?

That’s right. With this new vehicle warranty, you get full European roadside assistance to help you get where you need to be throughout 30 countries in Europe for a period of three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. 

In the UK, you’ll get onward travel or overnight accommodation up to £100 including VAT per beneficiary or a hire car for up to a maximum of two days. In Europe, you’ll get the same allowance for onward travel or overnight accommodation, but the car hire allowance increases to a maximum of five days to help get you home. 

If your car cannot be fixed at the roadside within four hours, we’ll get a car out to you - for free - for 48 hours. This can be taken at any time during the repair, too. 

Can You Extend a Warranty?

Is your Mazda vehicle coming to the end of its warranty period? You can keep it running thanks to Mazda’s Extended Warranty service. By extending your car’s manufacturer warranty, you’ll make sure that your car’s repairs are done by authorised Mazda dealers - like Nunns of Grimsby - using genuine Mazda parts.
